Senior Staff Salary Information

In accordance with the Local Government Transparency Code 2015, Killamarsh Parish Council publishes the following information relating to senior employees:

Post Title: Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer
Salary Range: £48,266 – £52,413 per annum
Remuneration Band: £50,000 or greater

Principal Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory duties of the Parish Council.
  2. Providing professional advice and support to the 15 Parish Councillors.
  3. Overseeing all aspects of Parish Council administration, including the organisation, attendance, and documentation of all Council meetings.
  4. Managing all aspects of financial administration and reporting.
  5. Managing and supervising Parish Council employees (8 permanent and 6 casual staff).
  6. Ensure Council assets are properly recorded, maintained, insured, and transparently reported in line with statutory and financial regulations.
  7. Ensure Council policies and risk assessments are regularly reviewed, properly implemented, and published to maintain compliance, transparency, and effective risk management.
  8. Liaise with other local authorities, community groups, contractors, and other partners to support Council projects, ensure good communication, and deliver community objectives effectively.
