The Lionesses have done it. They brought football home!

It's taken 56 years for an England football team to bring home a major trophy, and it's these formidable ladies that have done it. Following a tense nail biting final, the team won 2-1 against Germany marking a major victory and a huge step forward for women's football.

This is a special moment for our local homegrown talents Millie Bright and Ellie Roebuck, who have been integral parts of the team's success throughout the tournament. They have made Killamarsh Proud, and the village salutes their achievements. Well done ladies!

Hopefully, this paves the way for UK Women's Football to grow and open up greater access in schools for girls to get into the beautiful game. This is a moment of empowerment, of enabling women to have the same opportunities and level of recognition as men in UK football. Onwards and upwards!
