Derbyshire County Council to invest significantly in highway improvements
At the February Killamarsh Parish Council meeting councillors received a report from Derbyshire County Councillor Mark Foster detailing the roads in Killamarsh which are due to be resurfaced in the coming year (2022/23).
This years £58m investment in 375 of our roads, footpaths and pavements across the whole of Derbyshire is the largest ever of it's kind in the county.
Cllr Mark Foster explained,"The condition of roads is is one of the main issues that residents raise with Councillors. We're tackling this by with a huge £120m investment over a 3 year plan to get the 3,500 mile road network into shape."
Residents are reminded that potholes and other required road repairs can be reported to their councillor or directly to the County Council by completing the "Report a road fault" form at www.derbyshire.gov.uk.
